We’re totally bummed to learn that Disney World has discontinued its park-to-park Express Transportation option as of August 23rd. Available to annual passholders or ticket holders with the Park Hopper option, Express Transportation offered backstage to backstage service between the 4 parks bypassing the main gate and security. Check out our review of the service from March by clicking here.
This throws a monkey wrench into our upcoming September trip, as we planned to again utilize the Express Transportation option. Only being in town for 4 days and 3 nights, we planned to make the most of our trip and do some serious park hopping.
During our first test of the service in February, we were able to do more and see more than during any past trip to Walt Disney World. That included a couple of 3 park jogs that didn’t feel rushed whatsoever!
Hopefully some form of the Express Transportation option will return in future. The new odor to door Minnie Van service is nice, but entering through the backstage added a whole new level of convenience.
