T o all who come to this happy place…Welcome! Launched in 2017, my husband Mac & I started the Mickey Mom blog to share our experiences and the knowledge we’ve picked up on our many trips to Walt Disney World. We fully believe that a trip to Walt Disney World does not have to be a stressful experience! After all, you’re at the happiest place on earth, shouldn’t you be happy?

If you enjoy Disney tips and tricks, news, and sharing in other people’s trip experiences, the Mickey Mom blog is the site to add to your reading list. We spend a lot of time giving advice and sharing Walt Disney World info with family and friends, and we’re excited to share the same with you.

AFTER ALL, YOU’RE AT THE HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH, SHOULDN’T YOU BE HAPPY?

I took my first trip to Walt Disney World at the age of 2 and have been back every year since. In 1998, my family became Disney Vacation Club members, with Boardwalk becoming our “home” resort. Although our actual home base is in the midwest, we’ve made the pilgrimage 1-3 times a year since my first visit.

When my husband Mac and I started dating, he had only visited Walt Disney World twice as a child. I knew at that point I had to take him back! He tagged along on a family trip shortly after and the rest is history. From that point on, Disney World became a very special place for our relationship. He found a way to propose to me on a balcony in Italy (Epcot’s Italy of course), we got married in Disney’s Wedding Pavilion at the Grand Floridian Resort, and had our reception at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

After our wedding wrapped up, we got a magical little surprise, our pregnancy with our baby boy! This led to a gender reveal in front of Cinderella’s Castle and at 3 months old, his first trip (and flight) to Disney! Speaking of kids, we recently announced our second pregnancy in front of Space Mountain. It’s a girl! Do we qualify for Disney obsessed status yet?

Long story short, we’ve had a lot of really big moments at Walt Disney World, and can’t wait to have even more! We’ve done Disney as kids, as adults with no kids, as adults with kids, with money and with no money, not to mention twice while pregnant. We might not go to Disney the most, but we truly do love it. We’re here to help bring a perspective on how to do Disney with a little less stress and a lot of fun no matter your situation.

If you’ve made it this far, we’re glad to have you here, and can’t wait to bring you along on our journey.
