In this edition of The Weekly 5, I’m sharing 5 reasons why you MUST have a Disney wedding. The Walt Disney World Resort is the ideal place for a dream ceremony whether you’re a diehard Disney fan or not.
There’s a common misconception that Disney’s Fairytale Weddings are incredibly expensive and out of reach for most people. In reality, the options are very flexible and can fit budgets of all sizes. There are tons of venues and food and beverage options, with packages starting as low as $3,500. With that said, having our wedding at Walt Disney World was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made!
Here are 5 reasons why I think you should have a Disney Fairytale Wedding:
1Once In A Lifetime Experience
Every girl dreams of being a princess on her wedding day, and at Walt Disney World this dream can actually come true! From a horse drawn carriage to saying I do in front of the castle, you can quite literally be Cinderella on your wedding day. If you can think of it, Disney will find a way to do it.
2Awesome Vacation
For most people a wedding is one day, or a full weekend. Our Disney wedding was pretty much a week long celebration. Most of our 75 guests traveled and stayed for 4 or 5 days, allowing us to share a once-in-a-lifetime vacation that otherwise never would have happened. People still thank us for inviting them to our wedding and showing them that Disney World is more than just a place for kids.
3Easy Planning
Everything at Disney World is first class, and weddings are no different. Whether your guest list is 4 or 400, the staff at Disney Fairytale Weddings treats you like royalty. From day one, you’re provided with a wedding planner and multiple people who are going to help you plan every little detail of your big day. The staff is amazing to work with, and do their best to take the stress and hassle out of the wedding process. If a problem arises, they develop a solution(s) before you find out there’s a problem.
Special shoutout to Vita Brennan, our A+ planner who saved the day when our Harmbe Street wedding got rained out.
4Unique Wedding Photos
One of my favorite things about our wedding was the pictures! Disney Fine Art Photography did such an amazing job with our multiple photo shoots at Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, Boardwalk, and the Grand Floridian! In fact, our photographer, Stephanie Caldwell was so amazing to work with, we’ve requested her for additional Disney World family portrait sessions. Check out the following gallery to see some of the work Stephanie & Disney Fine Art Photography has done for our family.
5Endless Venue Options
When it comes to planning a Disney wedding, the most fun part of the process is picking your ceremony and reception location. Your choice of venue(s) can be more than run of the mill reception hall, but a true reflection of your personality. Love Tower of Terror? Did you know you can have your reception on the terrace? Fan of the Wizard of Oz? Until the closure of The Great Movie Ride, newlyweds could celebrate their big day on the yellow brick road (with the munchkins).
