The NCAA Tournament Bracket is set, which of course means the return of Disney’s March Magic tournament! In its 4th year, this online Facebook fan vote pits 18 fictional teams against each other, each inspired by an attraction from one of the four Walt Disney World parks.
As in years past, the winning team will once again be crowned “Ultimate Disney Attraction.” The team to beat is 2016’s champion, The Hollywood Tower Bellhops.
Steven Miller from the Disney Parks Blog, recently caught up with Meredith Gaiser from the Disney Parks and Resorts Digital Team to talk March Magic:
I recently spoke with Meredith Gaiser from the Disney Parks and Resorts Digital team about what makes this tournament extra magical for guests. “This is the fourth year for the ‘March Magic’ tournament,†explained Meredith. “Since its inception, this tournament has celebrated beloved Disney attractions both classic and new. We enjoy seeing how excited our fans get during the tournament. It has become a fun way for guests to share their love for Disney Parks.â€
The Disney Design Group has created a great collection of t-shirts and posters to help fans cheer on their favorite attraction. T-shirts can be found online at the DisneyStore.com and will be available for the duration of this year’s tournament.
In our opinion, this is a really fun way for Disney Fans to participate in some March Bracketology, even if they’re not basketball fans. We’ll definitely be casting our votes soon!
