If you see a large crowd ahead at Walt Disney World, always remember to GO LEFT! For any number of reasons, people (crowds) tend to naturally flow to the right. Maybe they’re right handed, are used to driving on the right side of the road, or maybe they’re being forced that direction by Disney crowd control agents in the bunker below Cinderella Castle. Either way, this creates bottlenecks at security, the front gate, walking down Main Street USA, etc. etc. etc. Ever wonder why the right side of Main Street USA is packed with coffee, ice cream, candy, etc. on the way in and souvenirs on the way out? It’s not a coincidence!

We’ve tested the “Go Left” phenomenon successfully many times, and are by no means the first people to document it. If you don’t believe us, try it out for yourself. The next time you head to the Magic Kingdom in the morning, don’t follow the crowd ahead and turn left into Adventureland. You’ll likely be surprised at how much you get accomplished while the rest of the crowd moves around the park counter clockwise!

My family has been doing this for a number of years, we also use the store on the left of main street to bypass the crowds on Main st while entering the park. nice quiet walk saying hello to all the nice cast members opening up for the morning.
We found that with the new opening show at the castle, there might be more people to the left on the bridge, but most of them are just trying to run through the Adventure land as a shirt cut to get to fantasyland from the other side.
We get to go on Jungle Cruise, Pirates and even get to ride both TMRR and Splash mntn in the first hour or two, riding one or more of those twice is common. All while walking casually, no running, rushing or pushing, virtually no crowd.
